Andre Kirsten……….

I studied law at the University Of The Free State in the former, “Orange Free State” – The place where there is No Oranges, Nothing is Free and its in a Hell Of A State….. Nonetheless that’s where everything started.

I did my practical “articles” at a Criminal Law Firm In Kimberley and from there started as a Prosecutor in the Free State and Prosecuted from 1998 till 2004 in the Free State. Came to the scenic and absolutely beautiful Western Cape, settled in Cape Town and Prosecuted some more over here.

I left the NPA (National Prosecuting Authority) in October 2005 and came to the Legal Aid Board. Here I joined a team of Criminal Law Experts that specializes in Criminal Law and defending the Poor and Indigent in the Criminal Courts

The Legal Aid Board fulfills the constitutional mandate of the Government to provide for those who cannot afford Legal Representation. The Legal Aid Board is the Largest Law Firm in South Africa and our attorneys cover by far the majority of criminal cases done by the South African Criminal Courts.

Due to this continues exposure and the sheer number of cases dealt with by our attorneys our Legal Representatives gain much more “in trial” experience than most other attorneys, needless to say their trial advocacy skills also become far superior to those of any other.

These attorneys have a love for what they do, and are dedicated to the cause. I am one of many, this site is part of my contribution to the greater cause….
